Hi – nice blog! It’s a short question, but with a convoluted answer – spanning archaeology, historic environment etc. For archaeology, Redcar & Cleveland Council now maintain the Historic Environment Record (HER) – they stopped funding Tees Archaeology (the local authority heritage service in Hartlepool) this year, but Tees Arch may be able to help advise you (sympathise if they cannot). There are local and regional societies too (like TAS), including the Cleveland Industrial Archaeology Society, Cleveland and Teesside Local History Society, Yorkshire Archaeological Society. Doing some googling here and talking to some of their folks would be a good start. You might also contact the people at the Kirkleatham Old Hall Museum. Hope this helps! -Spence
